Upper Courtyard

Fleeting Sculpture returns to the Upper Courtyard of Dublin Castle, inviting the public to a newly commissioned exhibit called ‘Regather’. Whether we regather and embrace or regather our thoughts, this display intends to be a conversation starter. How do we want to go on? Do we want everything to be the same as it was before? The finished sculptures are made entirely of 48 tonnes of sand which will be recycled after the sculptures are removed. Materials from previous exhibits have been reused for this project to minimise environmental impact. This year’s team is made up of two Irish sculptors Daniel Doyle and Niall Magee
