This Pop-Up Museum, initially created to explore the 100 years of women’s participation in politics and public life in Ireland, but also their international influence, now continues online. The exhibition and its associated activities shine a spotlight on the stories of very familiar and less well known women, who have contributed significantly to Irish political and public life over the past century and beyond – on the challenges they faced and the obstacles they overcame. It is told with text, films, interviews, ephemera and objects.
The exhibition is an initiative of the Decade of Centenaries Programme, run currently by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport & Media. Explore the new resource https://www.mna100.ie/
