Dublin Castle is delighted to partner with Enescu Chamber Music Festival for a series of chamber music concerts in the 19th-century Chapel Royal from the 30th of November to the 2nd of December with members of Ficino Ensemble and RTE’s Contempo Quartet.

This first edition of Enescu International Chamber Music Festival will introduce Dublin audiences to an amazing mix of classical and traditional music from Dracula’s land, Romania, together with passionate Latino music and essential European chamber music works, all in the Long Room Hub, Trinity College, and in the Chapel Royal, Dublin Castle.

‘Child Prodigies – String Octets’ will celebrate the early works of Mendelssohn and Enescu, both of whom composed octets as teenagers!

Michael Dervan of the Irish Times will join us on the evening as a guest speaker.
